Simple drawing done in Photoshop using one colour and only the Pen Tool.
The background colour is the same colour as the lines and shadows but set to 30% the opacity. The outlines were drawn using the Pen Tool on the Paths setting.

The Shadows were then drawn using the Pen Tool set on Shape Layer. No shading, no midtones just highlight or shadow.
